Wedding Accommodations
The wedding is in Springs, which is part of the town of East Hampton. The closest surrounding towns are Amagansett and Sag Harbor so below are some of the hotels in each of those towns. There are none less than 6 miles away from the barn (which is where the wedding will be), so you’ll need to rent a car or plans to share a car if you stay in any of these hotels. The advantage is that by staying in one of these towns, you will be close to shopping, sights, and ocean beaches. When you’re on the barn property, you can play at our beach, but it’s on the bay side, and rocky. For a totally beach-y feel, you might want to look into places in Montauk, famous for being an old whaling depot, big waves, famous lighthouse, and sometimes even seals! Other towns within a half-hour’s drive are Bridgehampton, Wainscott, Water Mill and Sagaponack. With a quick Google search you’ll find that the internet is filled with Hamptons accommodations, so if you see something not on this list and want to find out if it’s close enough, either ask us, or get the driving directions from mapquest.com which will also provide the distance. The address you should use on mapquest.com is 1251 Springs Fireplace Road in East Hampton.
Many of the swankier hotels have a 2 or 3
night minimum in the summer season. The
Hamptons are not known for their bargains, but there are a few places on the
list that are a little more affordable than others.
The
alternative we are providing for those who are adventurous and do not want to
stay in a hotel is to camp on the land at Sara Kate & Maxwell’s Love
Village. We will provide the tents,
outdoor shower and lovely wooden outhouse - you bring the bedding. There will also be breakfast in the barn in
the morning. There are already a number
of wonderful Love Villagers signed up.
