HomelandSomewhere in the United States
Homeland
Somewhere in the United States at this very moment, heading towards New York, is Dale Maharidge. Dale is coming to New York on the last leg of the tour he started over a month ago for Homeland, his new book about post-9/11 America. On June 21st he wrote me:Greetings from Iowa, where I am for a few days amid a very intense book tour. There is something going on with this book. They are often more like religious--well, spiritual--events than a book talks. I started in Portland, did Seattle, Berkeley, SF, L.a., Denver, Boulder. I call them tent revivals. . . a lot more hope than even I thought I had in me.I've been working on a Flash slide show for the book. Really, I have no idea what I'm doing with Flash, but Dale needs a web site. We'll get there. For the moment, though -- and with apologies and all sorts of legal disclaimers particularly with regard to Bob Dylan -- here's what we've got.
